Where To Stay In Birmingham, West Midlands

When you decide to make a trip to the city of Birmingham in England you will find that you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to finding accommodation. Whatever your budget, you’ll find something to suit from the luxury of 5 star hotels through to the smaller and often friendlier bed and breakfasts and also self catering apartments. We’ll look at just a handful of the different places you can choose when you next visit Birmingham.

1.  Thistle Birmingham City
Part of the Thistle chain, this is located in the centre of Birmingham yet offers affordable rates. It is convenient for Birmingham airport but it is easy to reach from the various major motorways. Due to its central location, you’re close to Birmingham’s shops, restaurants and nightlife yet it provides its guests with a relaxed atmosphere during the time that they stay there. Plus it provides them with easy access to other amenities such as Cadbury World and the National Sea Life Center. Although it only has 133 rooms within it they are all well appointed and come with their own ensuite bathrooms as well as satellite TV, hairdryer, trouser press and facilities for the guests to make their own tea and coffee if they so wish.

2.  Norfolk Hotel
Like the Thistle, this hotel is close to the city centre and room rates are slightly lower than its competitor. You’re only a few minutes from the centre of Birmingham. So guests can still use the many amenities that the city has to offer from fantastic restaurants and shopping facilities. Again you can easily reach attractions such as the National Sea Life Center and Cadbury World from this hotel.

3.  Campanile
This is a good choice if your budget is limited. It can be found in the Aston area of Birmingham and there is plenty of local transport (buses) available which will deliver you to the heart of the city of Birmingham in a matter of minutes.
