Does anyone know what discounts to tell hotels to look for when making reservations?

   try saying you are in the hospitality industry. trade discount etc

   Sometimes you can get a better rate on the internet, and the local hotels can’t match if for you. You can also ask for “best available.” If you use AAA, government employee, etc. you have to show ID at checkin.
