My very first experience travelling abroad is about to come. I will be going to Germany! I wondered how easy a Berlin hotel reservation would be. I am ignorant of many aspects of this type of service. My friend, Marla, gave me a bit of advice.

The capital of Germany is Berlin. That, in and of itself, makes it a point of interest for me. I received information that Berlin has many bars, boutiques and cafes and a rich historic past. I love history so I find this very appealing.

Marla suggested I call a travel agent but, if I wanted, she could contact a few of her friends who have travelled overseas and might be able to help. One of her friends, who had been to Berlin just a year ago, stated there were many museums and galleries to pick the cravings I have in art. That settled it for me.

Now, how do I make hotel reservations? Since, I will be going alone, I do not want to have as much over head. I do not need anything fancy but, I also want to be sure I am in a relatively safe neighborhood. I was able to get online and find several listings where I can simply book my own hotel reservations. This is fantastic!

I did not realize how easy it could be. But, you will have to take the time to research so that you can find what you are looking for. I advise not waiting until the last minute. Simply type in the words “hotel” and “Berlin” into your search engine and several bits of information will be in your hands. Read and compare prices. You may even inquire through an e-mail or phone call. Be inquisitive and settle for nothing less than what you want.
